How it’s calculated

For v2, relative price ratio r gives relative pool factor 2√r/(1+r); pool value also reflects the geometric mean of both token price changes. For v3, constant-product liquidity formulas compute token amounts across the selected range and clamp price at range boundaries.

Assumptions

V2 assumes a 50/50 pool with no fees unless the optional linear fee APR estimate is entered. V3 assumes one position, a 50/50 USD deposit at the starting prices, no fee earnings, and no range changes. Fee estimate is not a forecast.

FAQ

What does impermanent loss compare?

It compares the value of pool assets with the value those same deposited assets would have if held outside the pool.

Does the v2 estimate include trading fees?

You can add a simple fee APR estimate, but actual fees depend on pool volume and liquidity.

What does the v3 range mean?

The lower and upper values are token A price in units of token B. The position holds only token A below range or token B above range.

Is this financial advice?

No. Pool mechanics, fees, rebalancing and execution vary.
